Overlay

Can you tell me how to add an overlay with this plugin, its not immediately obvious to me. What I want to go is have a piece of text overlaying the images as they scroll by and then once the user starts to use to menus the text dissappears – I guess the behaviour I’m looking for is like that of a front static page.
