    Good morning,

I just installed the last version of Fixed Widget (Version 6.1.1) and saw the following improvement: “various optimizations for specific themes and setups reported by users.”

Since WordPress 6 was released a year ago, we haven’t been able to use the Fixed Widget functionality, as the widgets (on the right of our site) keep overlapping our theme (more specifically our bar menu and footer). I installed the last version of the plugin and tested it, but it still doesn’t work. Right now we have to keep the widgets “un-fixed”, but we would love to have that functionality back. Is there anything we can do to fix this issue?

    Thank you!

    Hi wireofhope,

    thanks for reaching out.

Go to WP admin area, Appearance -> Fixed Widget. Here you can define the top and bottom margins. Set bottom margin value >= footer height.

If your footer height is changing from page to page it is better to use the Stop ID option. Here you need to provide the HTML tag ID. The position of that HTML element will determine the margin bottom value.

For further questions about the Fixed Widget plugin, please address your request to their support forum directly. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    Henning

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I already set everything up and it still overlaps. I’ll open a request in their support forum.
