• I don’t understand how Nextgen has such a massive market share when the product is SO overcomplicated to use. Sure, the final galleries are nice, but the back-end is ridiculously complicated. Trying to teach a client to update their Nextgen galleries is more complicated than training them to use the rest of WordPress combined!

@aliceralph – Thanks for the feedback, is this your sole reason to giving such a low rating?

We’d also be happy to take any constructive criticism and suggestions on how we could improve the plugin’s interface as well. Perhaps you would prefer our contact form (https://nextgen-gallery.com/contact/) as a means to provide those additional details?

    Thanks!

I agree, I’ve spent an hour trying to add images, galleries and mess around with settings for a post, but all i get is console errors looking for thumbnails that seem to not be there. Not sure what this plugin is trying to pull, but they better get it in gear. If i didn’t have a client using it, i wouldn’t…

I fully agree to aliceralph !
I do not have any clients, but setting up a gallery for private purposes is really a pain.

I would rate the media manager side of Nextgen Gallery a 4-5 – much better than the WP Media library for sorting, labeling, finding, and watermarking images. On the dispay/presentation side it rates 2-3. But certainly not the the draconian 1 score.
