    Hi, I am trying to improve the accessibility of my site and I noticed that, on your submit button you have applied CSS styling; outline: none;

Is there any specific reason for this? Since keyboard users cant properly focus on the submit button to send mail.

And how can I resolve this?

    Hey @madjedo,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Although, we do try to follow best practices for accessibility in many aspects of our development and design, at this time, we’re not WCAG compliant. Having said that, I’ll check with our devs, and circle back with some updates soon.

In the meantime, could you please let me know if you have any other questions?

    Kindly,

    Hi Prashant, thank you.

I don’t have anymore questions except for the inquiry regarding the submit button outline.

    Hey @madjedo,

Thanks for the patience, and I apologize for the delay in getting back to your support request.

While we’re not WACG compliant, I wound this documentation and based on the guidelines, you may consider changing the background color of the button, though, it won’t have any effect on screen readers. You can check the documentation here.

You may also consider changing the background color and border when the submit is focused when using the keyboard. More details here.

    I am not following anymore…

I asked why you have CSS styling outline: none applied.

Then you send me a link stating (that I already attached) stating this is a bad idea…

One example of your submit button not being accessible:

    * Have your dev’s consider removing this styling so that outline styling defaults to browser default.

    Kind regards,

    Hey @madjedo,

Thanks for following up on this ticket, and I apologize for the confusion!

I’ll share the feedback with devs about the CSS styling we’ve included (outline: none), and remove the code in our future updates.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Kindly

    Hey @madjedo,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
