Outgoing links going to source domain name rather than full domain link

  • Hello all ??
    I’ve been trying to resolve this with no luck even after extensive searching in the WordPress support forums. I use WordPress (self hosted) with the TwentyEleven theme.
    The page I’m struggling with is [ redundant link removed ]
    I’m trying to get the store name buttons to each link to the individual store pages on coupons.com but it keeps linking to just coupons.com
    For instance, I have the Dollar General button linked to /store-loyalty-card-coupons/dollar-general-coupons/?pid=13903&nid=10&zid=xh20 but it keeps ending up on just https://www.coupons.com.
    I really need it to go to the full link so I can get the affiliate commission.
    when I enter the https://www.coupons.com/store-loyalty-card-coupons/dollar-general-coupons/?pid=13903&nid=10&zid=xh20 in a web browser (in my case Chrome) it goes to the right page. But not when linked from my blog.
    Can anyone help?

  • How are you inserting the links? Are you using the default Gutenberg editor?

    No I’m using the Classic Editor (Classic Editor installed via a plugin). I haven’t been brave enough to try Gutenberg after a WordPress update crashed my site using a previous theme.
    I’m just inserting the image, clicking on the image and pasting the code with the toolbar.
