Outdated wordpress install on my site even though am running current

    I am running on 4.2.2 but am getting the following error

    Found outdated WordPress install inside: ./OAP-17277590 – Version: 3.7.4 (please update asap) – from ./OAP-17277590/wp-includes/version.php.

    Please can you tell me what to do to get rid of this outdated install?

    I am not very technical so step by step advice would be fantastic – thank you in advance!

    Do you have WP installed in two different directories?

    When and where are you seeing that error message?

    My security people are seeing it when they are doing their scans – this is the message they are getting in full – so I assume that the .php is where it is.
    As far as I am aware I have only one wordpress install – I am very untechnical so don’t know where to look myself at all….
