I understand that you’re experiencing an issue with variable products showing as out of stock, even though there’s stock available in the backend. I can imagine how frustrating this could be.

Since you mentioned a lot of expired transients, this issue could be related to a caching problem, please try clearing your site’s cache, as well as any server or browser cache.

You can try switching to a default theme like Storefront by creating a staging site and then make the test on the staging site to check if the issue is theme related.

Thank you for your reply.

The problem is that the staging will not be in real conditions regarding customer orders.

However, I spotted 4 or 5 products for which the bug recurred and I set up a page which lists the meta of these products. The first thing that jumps out at me is the presence of values ??for Yoast even though this plugin has never been installed, we use SeoPress. For the rest I don’t know if there are values. There are other values ??(in French) that are created by ACF (custom fields).

Small clarification, my products, customers and orders come from a migration from Wix to Woocommerce. I also noticed a lot of expired transients (compared to other e-commerce)

This is interesting and it’s a thread to follow to learn more. Can you tell if this also happens for new products created freshly on your WooCommerce install, not migrated?

Additionally, this only happens for variable products, correct? When this happens again, before making any changes, could you please share the link to the product with issues? And a screenshot of the error message, as well as screenshots of the product edit page. This will help us better understand this case.

The Product content details plugin returns a custom shortcode that returns acf fields in the product sheet (eg: SHIPPING & RETURNS).

Another clarification, I really have the impression that this bug appears after an order. Let me explain. Not all products are affected by this bug but only some, here is the list:

I have a strong feeling that these particular products are affected by this bug after a customer ordered them. I’m not 100% sure but almost.

For staging, I will duplicate the site and simulate an order for these products in particular with the same configuration then deactivating all plugins except woo and with the default theme.

I’ll try to get this done as quickly as possible and get back to you. If in the meantime you have any leads, don’t hesitate to let me know.

Please take as much time as you need to conduct your tests on staging.

This only happens on migrated and variable products

No problem with new variable product.

From what you’ve told us so far it seems the problem lies with the imported products from Wix, as new products are working fine. With this in mind, can you tell me more details about the migration process? Which method did you use to achieve this?

Yes it seems that it is the Wix migration that is at fault but no idea on the reasons. We used the Cart2Cart service because Wix does not facilitate the migration at all.

I checked the CSV file you shared, but since you narrowed down the issue to the imported products, do you mind sharing a CSV file with only them so we can test it from our end?
