For about 2 months now there has been an issue with using the RSVP event option with tickets where if you set the ticket amount to and someone purchased one of the tickets it’d change the event to out-of-stock even though it registered only one ticket was purchased and still listed that there were the remaining tickets left from the overall total number. It did not matter what the initial purchases ticket amount was, it’d still lock it down with an out-of-stock.

For the event page above, after initial issues we switched it over to WooCommerce which is also installed in the site, however, we’d like to use RSVP moving forward if this bug can be resolved.

    Hi @jdcutter,

Sorry to hear that you’re having this issue! Please make sure that you are using the most recent versions of Event Tickets and WordPress.

I’d start by going through our testing for conflicts procedure to try to rule out if there is a conflict at play.

If the issue persists, please take a screenshot of your RSVP ticket setup on the backend so that we can try to replicate.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Jamie,
I was able to track down the trouble but could use your help in discovering if the issue is able to be resolved.

    • I have updated WP to the latest version
    • I have updated all plugins ot their latest versions
    • I have tested for conflicts and followed your process to completion with no errors presented.

Here is the list of current plugins running:

    • All-in-One WP Migration
    • All-in-One WP Migration Google Drive Extension
    • Bloom
    • Custom Sidebars
    • Event Tickets
    • Event Tickets Plus
    • Give – Donation Plugin
    • Give – Stripe Gateway
    • Livemesh SiteOrigins Widgets
    • Livemesh Tools
    • Monarch Plugin
    • Ninja Forms
    • Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    • Recent Tweets Widget
    • Simple Page Sidebars
    • SiteOrigin Widget Bundle
    • Slider Revolution
    • The Events Calendar
    • he Events Calendar Pro
    • WooCommerce
    • WooCommerce – Store Exporter
    • WooCommerce Stripe Gateway
    • WP Instagram Widget

I have turned them all off and turned them off individually to observe your bug troubleshooting process in the testing for conflicts section you linked me. None seemed to have a direct result that I could find in the code or in behavior.

I have found my issue results in the payment process.

At times, a payment will process displaying “IPN payment completed” but not reduce the ticket or add the purchasers information to the event ticket information under “view orders” on the page the ticket is listed.

This is a payment via PayPal. Do you have recommendations on how to correct?

    Hey @jdcutter,

First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.

Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.

Based on your discovery, it sounds like the issue might have to do with the fact that your return URL is not defined at Paypal’s level for IPN payments.

In other words, Event Tickets is not properly informed of the completed purchase.

Let us know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
