Out of memory error in product area of admin section

  • I am using version 3.8.14.3 and am experiencing an issue trying to view the products in the admin section of the website. When I try and access this section I get the following message:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/meta.php on line 808

    The PHP memory limit was 512Mb and I have increased it to 1024Mb as a precaution but I still get this message.

    Please can anybody shed some light on any way I can resolve this.

    I have solved the problem. It was a plugin conflict, although it is rather odd as it was a plugin that has been installed for quite a while, so I am not sure why it should have started to conflict now.
