Out of Memory Error

    After performing the backup the website died and I got the following error at log:

    [2019-06-09 21:20:44][error]Out of memory (allocated 243269632) (tried to allocate 28672 bytes) file:/mnt/myhost/wp-content/plugins/wpvivid-backuprestore/includes/class-wpvivid-restore-database.php line:755

    243269632 > 28672 So I dont understand why there is an error since 28672 is smaller.

    For info my host is strato.de

    What is this max value? Max of what? How can I increase it? To what value do I need to increase it? The backup file is 82MB. Any help would be appreciated!.

    Update, I made a fresh wordpress install. First wordpress was installation was from Strato with security. The second was normal plain wordpress. So this time the backup worked, I see the website back again at least however the logins changed I think to old website.

    I’m so sorry for that.
    1. this error message: Out of memory (allocated 243269632) (tried to allocate 28672 bytes) file, means that the whole process of backup’s memory needs to be allocated (243269632 + 28672) bytes, but only 243269632 byte (232MB) can be allocated. Your memory exhausted.
    2. How to increase it (your php memory)?
    Usually, apache allows php to modify php.ini to temporarily improve PHP Memory Limit. You can modify ‘PHP Memory Limit for backup’ in the settings tab of our plugin, increase this value to 512MB, which can solve the problem. If your host provider doesn’t allow to modify it, please contact your hosting provider.
    3. the backup file is 82MB
    Normally, the size of 82MB couldn’t trigger the problem, would you please send us a debug information via ‘website info’ tab of our plugin.

    Since it worked I dont have errors anymore, I made a fresh wordpress installation after failing, thanks a lot!

    Every time I try to download to my dropbox it times out. The site is 2.48GB. I don’t know what to do to download this

    Sorry about the tardy reply.

    The issue occured since it may time out while downloading. Please compress the backup files every 200 to 400 MB, this will increase the success rate for downloading.
