• Hey there,

I was wondering if there is a reason why your Lightbox plugin causes the Fatal error “allowed memory…..” error when I try to install it? I tried a few lightbox plugins and your was the only one that did it. I even adjusted my wp-config.php to try and up the limit to 64M and then 128M and I still got the error each time.

Not sure why a simple plugin like this one would be causing such an error?

Hi, memory use is cumulative across all active themes/plugins, so it may just be that your memory has reached its limit by the time it reaches SLB. What other plugins do you have installed?

Also, unlike other lightboxes, SLB activates links on the server-side for better detection. Therefore, if you have a lot of links in your post/page/widget content, or have pages with a lot of posts, then more memory will be used. You can decrease the amount of posts being shown on a single page if this is occurring.

The thing is, this is a new test site I’m building out and it only had two blog posts on the whole site, and 8 fairly minor plugins.

I’ve got 5 other WP sites that all run those same 8 plugin, and several more on top of it with no issues. I’m able to install other plugins without issue, it’s just your one that seems to trip it up.

I’m also temporarily running the default 2015 theme as well, so this is a really lightweight setup compared to what I’m used to running. I tr

Perhaps there is a clash with one of the plugins. This is what I’m running:

    Mage WP Worker plugin
    Yoast SEO
    W3 Cache
    Gravity Forms
    Wordpress Popular Posts
    OptinMonster API

Hi, unfortunately I am unable to fully test for conflicts there are some commercial plugins in your setup. Here’s a guide for checking for conflicts. Let me know what you find regarding your setup and I will take a closer look.
