Out of disk space. Unable to write content to file

    Hi all,

    This plugin has been one of our favourite plugins, thanks for the great work.

    Right now we’re running into a problem we’ve never seen whilst using it, I tried to export one of our sites and encountered the “Out of disk space. Unable to write content to file” issue. I’ve read a whole load of similar threads on here, but can’t seem to get those resolutions to work on this one.

    I read one that said to free up more hard drive space, which I did despite having more than enough space. But then the path that is referenced in the “Out of disk space” is that of the website’s location online? So I’m not sure what to do.

    Our set up for this site is on Digital Ocean/Server pilot.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    How large is your website?
    How much disk space do you have available on your server?

    We observed that this problem could also happen if hosting provider has limitation on the file size e.g. they can limit 1GB or 2GB max size for given file.

    You can check for any files in your WP installation under [WordPress]/wp-content/ that you can remove (like old backups from other plugins and etc.) and try again to export.

    That was exactly the issue, diskspace on our hard drive due to backup plugins.
