Our woocommerce wont allow guests even tho guest box ticked

  • Hi All

    We are newbies. We use WP with WPLMS theme package. We are an online business/science college based in Australia.
    Since our latest WP upgrade, our Woocommerce will no longer allow ‘guests’ to purchase at checkout (ie people who havent set up a signin/login account).

    We have ticked the ‘allow guest’ option in WC settings..we originally had this prob. but it got fixed..so we are thinking our web design guy (who we’ve lost contact with) prob. added some ‘code’ to allow this, or added ‘fresh’ Woocommerce plugin or a diff. type, but we dont know what it is.

    Can anyone help us? We are total newbies!!

  • It looks like your theme is version 1.8 but the latest version is 1.8.4. There are a lot of fixes in the updates, see the changelog well down the page. There are too many fixes to be able to say whether one is relevant to the current problem.

    Just in case your developer made any changes to the theme files, though he shouldn’t have, take a good backup before updating.

    If the issue persists after updating – your theme has WooCommerce compatibility so its possible that some WooCommerce files have been replaced by theme files. Look for template overrides listed at Admin page > WooCommerce > System Status.

    www.remarpro.com forum members don’t have access to commercial templates, so the vendor’s techs are best placed to provide a fix.
