Our full URL is now included in our internal page links
-
We use WP as a CMS, not as a blog. We recently upgraded to WP 3.1.1. Now we notice our URL automatically included in link paths to internal images and pages. The link editor in the Tiny MCE Visual Editor automatically inserts our URL into any link it generates. Even if we manually strip out our URL from these links using the HTML editor, when the link is clicked in View mode, the link includes our URL, evidently dynamically generated by WP.
Why is it necessary to have our URL in the path (making it an absolute link), when it works just as well without it (a relative link)?
How can I configure WP so it doesn’t insert the URL into the internal image or page link path? Or is there a plug-in that deletes the URL in these paths?
Your help is most appreciated.
