I’ve temporarily replaced my forms with another but I’ve left a qcf one here in case anyone needs to see it in action – https://www.blightyshop.com/temp/

I am having the same problem on one of my sites. Form still delivers the message, but need to get rid of the “Ouch!” error message. https://adopcionayuda.com/

    Thoughts???

FYI, I have cleared cache and closed browsers. Tried several browsers, still have issued. All help appreciated.

Yes, I’ve got exactly the same issue. I’m not sure if it related but at times I am also getting a screen that says:
    Moved Temporarily
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Clearing the cached doesn’t resolve the issue. It has been working perfectly on this server for several months and only started showing this last week.

I’ve done everything to try to fix.

      Cleared cache
      Restarted browser
      Tried various browsers and computers
      Rebuilt the contact form
      Deactivated and reactivated the plugin.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Much obliged.

Try deleting the plugin and then reinstalling. Good luck

I have done that sean1975, but it still doesn’t work.

last advice is to donate $5 through paypal on his plugin page. He has helped me twice and each time he helps me I give him $5.00 for his time.

    Sorry I’ve missed this thread.

The problem appears to be badly configured themes and pligins hijacking the jquery and ajax used by my plugin.

I think I’ve got a fix for this. If you want a copy to test please contact me via the plugin website.

Pipedown, your problem is happening because you aren’t loading the necessary files to make the plugin work. That’s a theme problem nto a plugin problem.

Fionder, I need to see the site to find a solution

Babyatom, your problem is the theme, it’s using a very old version of jQuery.

Thanks very much aerin. I’ll go and have a play with the theme’s jQuery and see if I can fix it.

    The code you want is:

    </php
    wp_enqueue_script( 'jquery' );
    ?>

Delete the jquery call in your theme and add the above.

Hi aerin. The site is https://www.chocolateboxcoaching.co.uk. It is on a popup that I have currently disabled as it doesn’t look very professional. However I have copied the whole site to a temporary test site at https://chocbox.fionastoreydesign.co.uk/. The theme is Genesis Catalyst. Thank you!

    Hi Fionder,

I’ve just used the form on the site to send a message and it was a bit slow but worked.

    Hi Aerin
It is good that the form works. However, the text before the form on the popup says “Checking… Ouch! There was a server error. Retry>>” which doesn’t look professional and might well discourage people from submitting it in the first place. If I just use a text box in the popup this message doesn’t appear. If I can’t resolve this I will have to use a different plugin to create the form, which I don’t want to do as I really like the Quick Contact Form.
