Use of ‘trait’ requires PHP 5.4. My server is running Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS which doesn’t reach end-of-life until April 2015 during which time PHP 5.3 will continue to be supported. I see your description has been updated to specify PHP 5.4. It’ll be interesting to see how many others are still running 5.3. This is a little kick in the butt for me to upgrade my server to 5.4. But it’s not part of the mainstream Ubuntu repositories for 10.04.4 so I’ll have to go to alternate sources.

    Exact error on server:
[19-Jun-2013 13:29:29] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /srv/www/humor_sites/wordpress-3.5.1/wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/plainview_sdk/db_aware_object.php on line 37

    Thanks for the great plugin!
