Other Post type base

  • I wanted to use this for a portfolio post type..portfolio in this theme. This seems to only grab categories from blog posts is there a way you can think of to change to either grab all categories from all post types or change the base it is looking for?

    cat_ID is one possiblity?

    or
    if ( in_category($impacted_categories) ?

    I am thinking I need to sat portfolio_category or somehow change the cat_ID to the id of the portfolio.
