• So weird scenario.

I can log in fine from my computer, but others can’t. When they try to visit it, it routes them to the 404 page.

I don’t believe it is a caching issue as I’ve cleared my cache.

I have edited the .htaccess file before but have since commented them out but it still doesnt work. I looked through recently installed plugins and disabled wordfence but still no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Alternately, if you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Oh boy… So i tried resetting plugins, no luck.

I also changed the name of the theme folder but nothing even changed. Does it take a couple of minutes for the website to realize the change?

    Appreciate the help!

Please check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message and see why it’s failing. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

If you cannot find error logs or if you don’t find any helpful info in the error logs, try Enabling debugging

according to cPanel, there aren’t any errors. Is there a reason why my theme didn’t revert back to a default theme? I thought if I changed the themename, it would’ve changed the site theme.

What should I be looking for when I enable debugging mode?
