In the form maker, I’m asking yes or no questions, so single choice fields. That said, if I enable ‘other’ it allows for an explanation box to pop up.. .is there a way to change that to a text area instead of a text field? Is there a way to preface it with a ‘why not’ question inside or outside of the text area?

I hope this isn’t becoming to complicated, but my next question would be if that’s not possible, would I need to do a secondary section with a text area to ask that and if so, how can I have that multiple times without the error that pops up saying that you can’t have duplicate fields AND how will it show up in the back end in relation to the data I’m collecting?

I hope I made this understandable. To see what I’m talking about, you can view the survey I’m creating with this at https://worldpeacedisclosure.com/tech-support-sample-page/

Thank you so much in advance!

    Hello, @nikkiapt!

Thank you for your time posting your request!

I am sorry to inform you, that unfortunately the default “Other” option cannot be switched to textarea, nor it can have additional text next to it.

However, there is a way to achieve this view. Please follow the steps described below.

    1. Firstly, remove default “Other” option from your Single/Multiple choice fields and add a regular option, which indicates “Other”.
    2. Add a textarea field below this field, which will have “Why not?” question as its label.
    3. Go to Form Options > Conditional Fields tab of your form, and configure a condition with the following logic:

Show [Textarea field] if any of the following match:
    [Checkbox field] is [Other]

This will make the textarea field initially hidden. It will only appear after users select “Other” option.

    We hope this helps.
    Cheers!
