  • Hi, I have the same issue with cyrillic alphabet (russian language) and I wish someone tell me what to do, because the plugin is very good and the language support is the only thing I need to fix.

Hi guys, I received a review in Chinese recently and I changed the language settings in PHPMyAdmin and it worked for me. Not sure if it will work for the languages you are looking for.

Here’s the link…so instead of changing the language settings in wp-posts, change it in wp-customer-reviews instead.

    Hope it helps…..

Hello bamdallydilly, thank you for trying to help,
but it did not work for me unfortunately. ??

Russian language is also important to me, I tried to follow the instructions at your link, commented out those 2 lines in wp-config.php,
but all I got is a broken website, because my website is translated to 4 languages (got cyrillic alphabet in 2 languages).

I didn’t try changing the settings in PHPMyAdmin, will try that one also, but I am not keen on messing with databases that much…

drasko.stojanovic, any success with russian language maybe??

Hi guys, I tried all possible combinations with the database etc. but nothing really helped. I think only the plugin creator could help us.

hmmm, then this plugin is not worth it I guess…
Better to leave default wordpress commenting active on that page you use as Guestbook, ant that’s it.

I also have this other problem with this plugin.
After trying to leave a review in Russian and deleting that review after, I have my admin email visible at the guestbook page? (under the review window)
I tried to disable and able the plugin, cleared the cache, but this problem stays.

Too much bugs with this one I suppose…
Drasko, have you tried some other plugin maybe?

WP Customer Reviews plugin is great in English characters but it doesn’t support Vietnamese characters usually it replaced it by “?” marks.

    Any possible solutions for this?
