If someone manually types in an “other” option and “Add other answers in answers list” is set to “no,” there’s no way to actually see what people are typing in. All of their answers are bundled into “other.”

When “Add other answers in answers list” is set to yes, all custom answers added by your voters should be added to the answers list and they should be visible when editing your poll, on results page and also when displaying the poll.
If this is not the case, could you let us know what version you are running and also a link where we can run a test?
I made a big typo in my original post. It should be when “Add other answers in answers list” is set to “no.” At that point, the answers typed are merged into an “other” result and there’s nowhere to actually see what people typed.
I think the export option is fine, but it would be nice if the question and answer were split into their own columns so that filtering were easier. Another column that indicates whether an answer was a pre-defined answer or a custom one would make filtering even easier.
Related: I use this feature to curate suggestions from my users. But they don’t care about punctuation, capitalization, verification of titles, etc. I’d love a way to see what Other entries were added recently so I can fix them to match the format of the rest of the options in my poll.
Perhaps. Currently I find the new entries at the bottom of the Edit Answers screen, and adjust them as necessary. This works fine for my purpose, but maybe having a separate section for it would be useful too.
