• Is there a way to get this working with another download plugin? Download Monitor is causing a huge number of queries.

  • It only works with Download Monitor. What do you mean by ‘huge number of queries’? Like SQL queries to the database or something else? I have never heard of anything like that and can’t think of how that might happen…

Are you running the latest version of Download Monitor (you should be running version 1.9.5)?

When are you seeing all these queries .. like on any page request in WordPress or only when viewing a page with the EBD shortcode on it or when you’re logged in as admin and in the Download Monitor section of the wordpress menus or…?

Where are you seeing these queries? Are you running a monitoring tool and seeing them or are you seeing errors/warnings showing up in an error log somewhere or..?

I am seeing the queries when I am logged in to admin dashboard. I am using the plugin Query Monitor (as advised by my host)

    Query Monitor

I don’t really know what it does on the admin side. Whatever it’s doing, it’s doing it pretty fast. It’s only taking 1/100th of a second to do all those queries. As long as it doesn’t do it on the external pages I wouldn’t worry about. However, you could open a ticket over on the Download Monitor support forum and ask the author what’s up with that…
