After updating the plugin we no longer have the option to select other amount and put in the amount we want to give on our desktop version. The mobile version is working fine which is weird. It automatically generates a $1.00 as the amount in PayPal once we hit the donate button and it cannot be changed ??

What did you update from? Was it from the very old 3.x version?

I’m guessing if you’re seeing something different in mobile and online, it’s probably something to do with your theme and CSS. But that’s just a guess.

P.S. Unless you’re running the Giving Level Manager and accidentally turned off the “other” field. But based on your description, that’s a pretty low probability.

We were running an old version of WordPress and tried to update the plugins so I think that’s were the original issues started. Once we upgraded to a more recent version of WordPress the donation page was fine but it wouldn’t link to PayPal so we had that fixed today and now the other amount is not ?? Here is the link to the page so maybe you can take a look at it. https://twfcdallas.org/#/online-giving/

Actually, it’s more than the Other field. When you click the Tribute checkbox, an entire series of fields should open up. Your theme is probably interfering with the JavaScript. Usually that occurs when a theme includes its own version of jQuery or other JavaScript libraries rather than using WordPress standard libraries.

Sadly, my guess is you’ll need to either switch themes or talk to your theme developer. A quick way to prove that is just toggle to a standard WordPress theme and test it out.

P.S. Keep your WordPress updated. Learn from my experience: https://www.zdnet.com/article/one-of-my-sites-got-hacked-and-its-my-own-fault/

Ok we will try that. Thank you so much!! ??

P.S. We learned our lesson too because we just found out our site was hacked ??
