• Hi, in Network Admin > Settings > Upload Settings, I have Upload file types:

jpg jpeg png gif mov avi mpg 3gp 3g2 midi mid pdf doc ppt odt pptx docx pps ppsx xls xlsx key mp3 ogg m4a wav mp4 m4v webm ogv flv otf

    (note otf on the end).

In a Network site, I have refreshed the page and I am now trying to upload a font, but receive the error

“Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

    Help appreciated.
    Steve

  • The internals of the file have to match the mime type also. There can be false negatives from the function that checks the type of the file.
If you use the Lord of the Files plugin, it should help. Also that plugin author is very helpful about getting all the edge cases working.
