I tried Coppermine, it’s rather confusing. I prefer a simpler interface like WordPress’. Just look at the Config screen in the Admin section and you’ll be totally shocked. Yes, indeed it’s very customizable but perhaps the Coppermine developers can make some sections less intimidating. And the theme are really hard to create. I spend 2 hours looking around and still haven’t got an idea how I should start. ??

Is it just me, or didn’t anyone mention SimpleViewer https://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/ and SimpleViewerAdmin? https://www.redsplash.de/projects/simplevieweradmin/ These are kickass tools…

Try PhotoPost Pro if you don’t mind a commercial application (under $200). Excellent app, runs in standalone mode or integrates with the top discussion forum apps out there (vBulletin, phpbb, etc.)
