Orphaned Products

    Hi! I have a issue with my website. We have 3500 products in total. But based on your plugin and Ahref, it tells me that 3250 products are orphaned. Any idea why? What can cause this?

    All products are inside categories, we are using 3 levels categories.

    Steps we did to find a fix:

    1. We made sure that we can navigate from Homepage to the product pages.
    2. I used your Yoast Test Helper tool to reindex everything, but no luck, i still get orphaned.
    3. We get the same warning in Ahref tool.
    4. Do we need to set a main category to all products?

    I really don’t know what to check next ?? Any clues?

As a result, these articles are hard to find, both by Google and by users of your site.?The Orphaned Content feature in Yoast SEO warns you about posts or pages that are considered orphaned content. To resolve this warning, you should add links to these posts from other posts on your site. Our?internal linking tool?helps you do that.

    In essence, your products should be interconnected like a web. If a product does not have any related product but has a blog post that talks about the product, you can add a link from the blog. There are just a couple of meaningful ways of adding contextual links to your product pages:

    1. link from a product bundle page to the individual products
    2. a ‘related items’ or ‘compare with similar items’ section
    3. a ‘customers also bought’ section
    4. a ‘product bundles’ or ‘frequently bought together’ section.
