    Hi,

I want to try out the WP Staging Plugin and created a staging site on a separate URL. But, what happened then is that all the content on the original site disappeared. I wanted the original site to be up while I worked on the staging site.

I created a backup using the WP Staging Plugin, but I didn’t do that until after I had created the staging site.

All the content on the original site can now only be found on the staging site.

How do I restore the original site to as it was before I created the staging site?

    Kind regards,

    Christian

    Hi @lewallin
Creating a staging site shouldn’t affect the live site at all. What do you mean by “separate URL”? A subdirectory or a subdomain? Are you using the free version or the Pro one?

Please send us your site’s system information via this form, along with the answer to the above questions, and we will help you further from there.

    Thanks,
    Alaa

Hi, I just followed your link and added the below as a message:

I am using the free version. Was just going to tryout the tool before considering an upgrade.

I created a staging site, but when I did all the content on my original site disappeared.

    The original site: iconbrands.se
    The staging site: iconbrand.se/icon-brands-2011

After creating the staging site I created a backup (using the WP Staging Plugin), but I think that just created a copy of the original site (iconbrands.se) that is now empty..

How do I restore the website to as it was before creating a staging site?

    Kind regards,
    Christian
