Original photos duplicates ?

    you say in documentation we can revert to originial, but then
    do you keep copies of originals ?
    if so, how can we delete originals and only keep optimized to save on storage space ?
    (i have low hosting server space)

    Hi @obertscloud,

    We preserve the original file so that you can change at will the quality ratio (and especially increase it if you have turned it too low).

    But as it’s a regular request, we’re currently working on it, it should be available in the next few weeks.

    yes you do duplicated images I went to ftp and all images have a duplicated with a sub name .. unsmushed… duplicating my file size no wonder I ran out of space on my host server i manually delete now

    I agree though, we need to have option to keep or replace the original image to save server space, low web hosting nowdays give 500mb-1gb disk space only.

    We’re happy to announce you that the removal of backup files (-unsmushed) has been released (0.3.0) !

    You can now disable the preservation of -unsmushed files, and you’ve got a batch to delete older -unsmushed files.

    We advice you to read carefully these instructions before using it.
