Original files are not deleted from the server

  • Hello,

    I’ve been using the plugin for a few days now and I really like it, but upon checking the FTP Uploads folder I can see that the original files are still kept on the server. Is the a setting I’m missing here? I thought renaming would be done on the original files, not duplicate+rename.

    Hi @popaionut,
    Phoenix Media Rename creates a new file and delete the old one to limit issue due to limited file system permission.

    Your issue can be due to missing permission to delete files (unlikely) or a conflict with some other plugin (more likely), can you tell me which active plugins are you using?
