    i am using origin theme as it was what i used in wordpress.com. I am seeing these 2 errors, can you help me:

    – the header image is terribly small… i dont seem to be able to know what to do about it. please let me know what to write in the custom css?

    – the header hides the pages as well (i dont see my about page, contact me, copyright, awards etc). please let me know what to do?

    Thank you
    Michelle

  • Self-hosted sites aren’t part of WordPress.COM so no, that function won’t work.

    It looks like you already moved all your content to this site – so if you’re just talking about changing the domain name, you need to do that on your WordPress.COM site – see:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/

    Ask your hosting company about how to stop using the temporary URL.

    I’ll look at the font-size question…didn’t see it before I posted the above.

    Try adding this to the child theme style.css file (under Appearance > Editor) – and changing the font size – maybe try 1.0 to start with:

    input[type="text"], input[type="password"], input[type="email"], .input-text, textarea, select {
        font-size: 0.8125em;
    }

    HI Yogi, i just want to share with you that my site is up and running! Go see!

    But i have 2 new queries about likes and subscription emails – i will start a new trail to ask about that.

    Thank you for help

    Is there someone i can write to, to share that you helped me really well? like a supervisor etc?

    LOL – that’s sweet of you. Actually there are no supervisors and everyone here is a volunteer – www.remarpro.com doesn’t have any paid staff. But I appreciate your intentions – thank you. I’m glad we hung in there and got the theme you wanted the way you want.

    oh my goodness you do such an awesome job for a volunteer! i am really glad you are the one who is helping me..

    now the loading of the website is really slow (not sure if it is my office server or inmotion hosting)so i am asking inmotion hosting.

    HI Yogi,

    Remember the size of the box for followers/ leave a reply ? i have removed the space before em and still no difference..

    The size of the box(es) or the font size?

    Thread Starter michloh353

    (@michloh353)

    both – you go see. the box for the followers to subscribe is terribly tiny.. hence the font size of your email in the follower box will be very small too…

    thank you so much.

    The font in the followers email box is quite big – make sure you’ve cleared your browser cache if you’re not seeing that.

    On the comments, those are a plugin? So I think you have to change that in the plugin settings? It looks like custom CSS may not override the plugin’s font size.
