    Hi. I’ve started creating a website using wordpress.com but now discovered the .org site. I need a website that I can customize and have access to html. I also want to install plugins. From what I’ve read I should go for www.remarpro.com. Is that right?
    Could you please also clarify if I understnad it right: I have to have my domain (which I have), then find a hosting site, and the create a website using the wordpress software (which I donload to my computer)?
    It’s a bit confusing as in the past I always build my website in the same place it was hosted. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

    If you need to install plugins and want to be able to edit HTML and CSS, then use www.remarpro.com.

    You need a domain name. You need hosting. But you don’t install WordPress on your own computer, you upload it to your hosting.

    Thank you Jason for your help! I’ll read it all and finger crossed it won’t be too difficult! ??

    Many hosts have an easy WordPress installation option via tools like Installatron and Softaculous. If you look for someone who offers this you’ll be set up in no time!

    Hello everyone,

    I had a similar question in mind. Apparently if you upgrade to Premium WordPress (on WordPress.com) and pay $99 annually, it specifically says that you can change full front end and CSS. Wouldn’t it be easier to choose this $99 option and be able to modify the CSS, rather than setting up your own host on bluehost.com? Furthermore, I hope I have understood this correctly, www.remarpro.com is free (CMS) but the hosting needs to be purchased externally like bluehost.com?

    Thank you in advance for your replies ??

    @vettpolmer you are partly correct.

    By paying an annual fee you can use your own CSS on WordPress.com. And yes, that way you don’t need to buy hosting and install WP.

    But you can’t install plugins, which is something that @annamallorca193 specifically mentioned needing to do. Nor can you install and edit any theme you want.

    Thank you Jason King for clarifying that. I hope you have a lovely day ??
