Orders stuck in Pending Payment

We have been using the eWay Woocommerce successfully up until the past week, when orders started getting stuck in a ‘Pending Payment’ status despite customers having put in their credit card info successfully. eWay support confirmed that they can see the request however no credit card payments were received in eWays systems, so the order remained in a ‘Pending Payment’ status indefinitely.
I have now transferred over to use the ‘eWAY Payment Gateway’ plugin instead of the official Woocommerce one, and everything is working as intended.
This appears to be a IPN issue with plugin compatability primarily, as other plugins were using are all compatible with the latest Woocommerce versions.
I’m quite surprised that Woocommerce hasn’t updated or tested this plugin within the last 3 official updates/ releases of Woocommerce platform.
