Orders Stuck In Pending After Confirmed Payment

I have a client who has had nothing but issues with Woocommerce and a theme by YITH, Sistina.
They use Authorize.net DPM for processing.
The issue we are having is that when an order is placed, the payment goes through, as client receives confirmation from Authorize.net, but order is listed as PENDING on back end in Woocommerce, and consequently, no emails are sent to client that an order has been placed. I realize that the lack of notification is due to the status being PENDING not PROCESSING like it should be.
On a side note — if I do a test run and run a transaction that is free (I have a custom coupon set up for testing purposes), the order is set to PROCESSING like it should be in the order list.
Does ANYONE have a clue what is happening here? This started when we updated the theme, site and woo to the most recent versions.
ANY and ALL help would be greatly appreciated.
