Orders received with total set to $0.00

    Hi, I have a site where we’re receiving orders periodically with an unexpected status and the total set to $0.00, despite having a valid subtotal.

    Currently, orders are submitted via an API that processes credit card transactions and then explicitly sets the order status to either a success state or declined state based on the credit card processor response.

    The orders we are seeing, however, are set to the default status used by Woocommerce that we do not use as part of our tracking and fulfillment workflow (Order Received).

    These orders occur at most once per day and typically have a card of age of 8+ hours. The output of the Woo install status page is below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    This is a fairly complex development topic. Because the usage of the WooCommerce REST API requires not only experience with programming languages but also with JSON and using APIs in general. Due to the advanced requirements of using the REST API, it’s geared more towards experienced developers.

    However, I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

    I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

    You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
