Orders on hold

I understand the order status shows as on-hold instead of processing for most of your orders after changing the currency from pounds to euros.

Can you send us the screenshot of the order notes from the on-hold order? You can find it in WooCommerce > Orders > Edit the order > On the right side.

Could you also please share a copy of your site’s System Status to understand how your site is configured? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

An update: the orders do not change to processing anymore. My test payments from yesterday evening are all still on hold. I reset my PayPal API Credentials and added the new API Credentials to the PayPal Checkout plugin and it’s still not processing payments. I am hoping to fix the problem asap, so that I can accept orders again and start my black friday sale. Please let me know if you have any advise on how to fix this.

Thank you for the detailed information along with your status report. I’ve had a look at your system status and there’s nothing in there that stands out as problematic.

This looks like a behavior specific to your PayPal Checkout payment gateway instead of WooCommerce. The order notes show that the payment didn’t go through and the orders are either switched to on-hold due to pending payment or canceled status.

In order to troubleshoot this further, I recommend enabling the debug log in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Checkout do a test purchase and then check the latest PayPal Checkout logs in WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Copy-paste the logs here in your response, please make sure that there is no confidential information into the logs.

I still have no idea why switching the currencies caused this issue, but I managed to fix it by saving changes (again) to all settings on PayPal and re-entering all of the information on the PayPal checkout plugin setting. All orders are successfully coming through now. Thank you so much for your help!
