Orders change automatically to completed instead of processing

    After an order is paid, the status in the BO automatically changes to “Completed”, when it should change to “Processing”.

    As these are physical products, the change to “Completed” should be done manually, when the order is shipped.

    As it is currently, as soon as the customer pays, it automatically receives the email confirming the order was shipped, when it is false.

    Could you please let us know if this only happens to a specific payment gateway?

    Also, let’s check if there is an error on the WooCommerce Logs. So please, provide us the following:

    • System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Error log: share a copy of the fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available)

    Hi,
    Thank you so much for the help.

    It happens with some payments by credit card, with all payments by MBWay and by ATM reference. Paypal works correctly.

    I leave the System Status and the last Fatal Error below.
    I also leave the last easypay record where the last 3 orders appear, I don’t know if it helps. Some things are in Portuguese, if necessary I can translate.

    Hi @patbatista. Sorry that we missed your last response. This is not default behavior in WooCommerce to auto-complete orders unless all productsin the order are virtual and downloadable. The likely reason for this is a customization added to your site, for example with Code Snippets, or a feature being activated in your payment gateway plugin.

    I recommend checking those two things first. If that doesn’t help, then the next step is conflict testing using this guide – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Note that we’ve redacted some of the information from the log since there was customer info in there. Please be sure to redact any private information when sharing logs in the forums.
