Hi, I also had this issue with orders are trashed in the admin panel -> Cart Order.

    Here are my setup:
Simple PayPal Shopping Cart Settings v 4.0.5

I have enable the sandbox mode and set 2 sandbox accounts in Paypal Development console.

The Sandbox Merchant account is the same email filled in this plugin.

I had created a product on my site, and a Thank you page with its URL filled in this plugin.

I made a purchase, and use Sandbox Personal account to pay it.

Does this mean I have to use non-sandbox mode?
The Paypal Dev console did show these transactions with correct amount, but the following issues are found:

    1) After paid, Paypal didn’t auto-redirect to my site, but left a link, and need to click to redirect to the Thank you page.

    2) Order are in the trash folders, and all the information are empty, no Name, email, only status says “Pending”.

Hi dingzj the Sandbox Mode is solely to test and see if it works. If you want to make a real purchase then you have to uncheck the Sandbox Mode and use your normal PayPal account.

What version of WordPress are you running?

Thanks for the prompt response @mbrsolution.

I am running newest WP version 4.1.

So, if I am using the live mode of Paypal checkout, the 2 issues will be solved?

I will find another Paypal account to test.

Hi if everything is in working order then yes it should work.

@dingzj, A trash order means the user didn’t complete the transaction. It may have happened due to one of the following reasons:

    1) The user went to the PayPal payment page but didn’t make the payment.
    2) The user made the payment but the plugin didn’t receive notification from PayPal

Do you see a new transaction in your PayPal account which is in a pending state under “Cart Orders”? If not then the payment didn’t even go through.

Regarding automatic redirection, You will need to enable this option in your PayPal account.
