Ordering virtual product with voucher not possible

When you have a 100% discount voucher in checkout block for a virtual product you get an error saying:

Missing parameter(s): payment_method
Ordering is not possible in this case. Problems exists since version 6.7.0

Also when using a voucher with e.g. 25€ discount on a 50€ product ordering works and the order confirmation is correct, HOWEVER in the WC order summary the order total amount is shown as 50€ instead of 25€ and the voucher is shown as “0€”, this also messes up invoices etc.
So far i only checked this with virtual products.

I rolled back to 6.7.0 and the problem is gone.
