ordering system & product interest gathering system

    I am trying to set up an online ordering system, as well as in anothe rlocation on th ewebsite, a way to have people browse over the site and choose items of interest and I wil recieve an “order” for information and there contact information.

    . I do not need (or want) to have prices indicated, because the tool is realy only for receiving order. Prices are negociated with each client sperately.
    Is there a way to set this up:

    1 – for an ordering system with no prices
    2 – for a simple system where people will click on items of interest and I will get a form showing with they clicked on with their contact info?

    If possible, can one put comment fields for people to leave more details if needed for items/categories of interest?

    Hello @smokinjo,

    This is actually easy however you will need a premium Catalog X extension called Quote Cart (you will find it when you go to the catalog extensions menu).

    With the Quote Cart active you will be also able to add any field into the “order” checkout form. It is fully customizable with drag and drop editor.

    Each product will get an add to cart button (you can customize it) and no prices will be shown in checkout.

    This answers my question.

    With in the shopping cart, if it possible to remove prices all together? Taxes too?

    Instead of using this as a shopping cart, it is only as an ordering system. his is why no prices are wanted on the screen, as the system is needed only to send an order, and wil be entered into our system for processing.

    Again, not having yet installed it, a comment box will also be needed in case the client has a special instruction for an order.

    You can disable taxes in Shopping Cart. The prices will be always there in Shopping Cart.

    If you don’t want the prices you should use Quote Cart extension (not Shopping Cart).
