    Hi Tom

There’s a comment on your plugin webpage about post ordering, which I’d like to follow up on. I can see that there are many ways to order, but I can’t see how or if I can order by a predetermined or set regime.

So, I am looking to update a website and thinking of making some of the existing pages posts and then organising them on a summary page with WP Show Posts. There will be lots of to-ing and fro-ing and different looks etc to be decided in due course. But the ordering that now exists is all time-related or alphabetically-based, or not relevant for this purpose (e.g. # comments), from what I see.

An idea for a solution is, perhaps, a two-tier organisation, whereby I place posts in categories and then within these tag them 1, 2, 3, n… I could then make a category list and then order by number. Even if I only have one category, it would be good to be able to set the order of posts in a way that I select. I don’t know if this is even possible, but hopefully it explains what I mean.

Apologies if I am just missing a very simple way of doing this already… and as always, thanks for the great work.

    Best,
