Ordering or grouping the products/items

    Hi, is there a way to order or group the items on specific fields? When we print the PDF packing slips, we use them to pick the order. In the warehouse all items are grouped by the brand, so it would be great if the list could be ordered by a custom field (the brand) or alphabetically, instead of the normal ordering, which seems like the sequence in which the items are added to the basket?

    Any help appreciated,

    Hi! Indeed the default sorting is based on the sequence in which the items were added to the cart – this is how WooCommerce stores the items in the order and our plugin follows suit in this. Our Premium Templates extension has a setting for this, which allows you to choose between sorting by Product Name, SKU or Category:

    Technically it’s also possible to sort by custom field, although that would require a small PHP code snippet. If you have a license for one of the paid extensions, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help with this!

    Hi Ewout,

    Thanks for the reply. I’ve bought the premium extension, but the option to “sort items” isnt saved. I tried it a few times, but after saving it keeps displaying “standard” as value (both with the invoice as the packing slip).

    Ok, I’ve noticed it does work on another install, so it might have something to do with the other plugins/settings. I’ll have another try and if it doesnt work, i’ll contact you by mail. Thanks!
