    Well the default avatars are pulled from the gravatar.com service. So I don’t think there is a way to sort your query by data that is on another website.

    Simple User Listing supports most of the parameters of the WP_User_Query class as parameters for the shortcode.

    See WP_Query for the supported values for each parameter.

    If you were using a plugin that moved avatars to local data then it might be possible to set up a meta query. See the FAQ for an example.
