    Hello @fftw

To better judge what could be causing this, we are interested in a copy of your WooCommerce system report and your latest PayPal Payments log files.

The system report can be accessed from here:
WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support

You can copy the log files from here:
WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments-[…]” in the dropdown and click on view.

You can share it privately with us from here:

Please include a link to this thread when sending a private message.

    Hi Femi,
have you found any solution for the described problem? We have noticed the same issue in one of our customers shop (“Item amount mismatch. Items ditched.”). Another strange behaviour we have noticed is, that the sku of some products within orders with this error are not listet.
    Can you please help us?
Many thanks in advance. Kind regards
    Sven

    Hi there,

This order note is the result of a new setting that was introduced in a recent update: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#integration-configuration

Sometimes, differences in how WooCommerce and PayPal calculate taxes can lead to line item mismatches, resulting in an error and a failed payment. To prevent mismatch errors, PayPal Payments historically ditched the items so that the PayPal order does not contain any item details.

Recently, the behavior was improved to add an order note if such a mismatch occurs for better transparency. There is also a new option in the Connection tab to create a new line to fix the mismatch. You can use this feature to preserve the line items in the PayPal order by having the plugin automatically add another item, usually with a $0,01 amount, to fix the mismatch. You can set a custom name for this line item.

I hope this clarifies the behavior! Please reopen the thread or create a new one if any questions remain. Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hey,

We’ve noticed this on an order this morning too, there seems to be a 4 cent mismatch between the total order value and the paypal payout. Can you advise what specifically would cause this, and any steps we might need to take to resolve this? or how we can even reconcile the difference correctly?

I’m also seeing this issue – am I getting paid what I should be? Are line items being removed from the order, or just item skus?

    Same issue here

    +1

Are items being removed for the order?
Am I being paid the amount I should be?
