Hmm ok please can you bring up the element inspector and check for errors?

In Chrome > Right click somewhere on the page > Inspect Element > then “Console” which is the furthest right tab. Are there errors that can give a clue as to where the problem is coming from?

The reorder function uses AJAX and in my experience if it doesn’t work, then this usually indicates a JavaScript conflict with something else on the site. Could be the theme, or some other plugin running. Let’s check the console first for clues, and if that doesn’t point us in the right direction we will have to try deactivating all the other plugins and switching to default theme for further testing.

I figured it out. It’s a conflict between your plugin and the Yoast SEO premium plugin. I was able to temporarily disable Yoast, change the order of the categories and articles the way I wanted in your plugin, and then re-activate Yoast and everything was ok afterward (except that I had to also re-activate the license in the Yoast plugin, which is no big deal).

So, there is a crude but effective workaround. That’s probably good enough for me, for now.

Ok cool thanks for reporting back tcolling. Very helpful to have identified the conflicting plugin. I will log this in my bug tracker and investigate as soon as I have a chance. It would also be worth submitting a note to Yoast mentioning this so they are aware of it.

    Thanks again for your help.
