Order status not updating automatically

After enrolling for a paid course, we get redirected to the paypal gateway. We did a live purchase of rupee 1 for a course, the payment was successful, but it didn’t redirected me to the website again. Also, the order status was pending even after making the payment. Only after updating the status to completed from the admin panel i was enrolled for the course.
