Order status is changed automatically

    Hi Team,

    I have updated woocommerce plugin today.I can see that when customer buys and pays for the product via paypal, order is seen to be in Pending for Payment.But when I click on the order to see it, it is automatically set to Completed. Please let me know if this is expected?

    Previously, this was not the case.Order used to be in pending payment until I manually change it to processing->compelted or directly completed

    Just one correction.Order does go in pending payment but as soon as paypal payment is completed, it changes to completed.I am expecting it to be at same status, pending payment so I can manually update the status to processing and then completed.

    Hi @sagar1990,

    Would the order in question have been for a digital and virtual product? If so I believe WooCommerce will mark an order completed for you if it’s a digital/virtual product since there’s nothing left to be done once it knows payment has been made.

    Hi @ryanr14,

    My product is virtual and Downloadable.It seems to have been changed after I have updated the plugin.I had same product tested before plugin update and I could manually update the status of the orders from Pending payment to processing and then to completed.So, I am not sure why this is happening now. It was behaving as expected before update.

    Please let me know if I am missing anything.
