    This depends on which gateway you’re using. So for example if you’re using the BACS gateway, then yes the orders will go first to “on-hold”. But if you’re using say PayPal Standard, then the order status ( after payment ) will be “processing”.

    I use pay u money payment gateway (India).

    So Is there any other solution that order status goes to on hold when customer place order.

    What is the reason why you would want it to go to “on-hold”?

    Hi Royho,

    I place order from AMAZON, Then I received messeges like,
    Received Order, Delievered Order, Arriving Order, Completed order.

    I use woo commerce APG sms notification plugin in WOOCOMMERCE.

    1 – So When customer place order, plugin sends messege of “Received order”to customer.

    2 – Then If we change order status to processing then plugin sends messege of “Processing Order” to customer.

    3 – Then If we change order status to completed then plugin sends messege of “Completed Order”.

    BUT, In my case, RECEIVED ORDER MESSEGE SKIPS (1). & ORDER STATUS GOES DIRECTLY TO PROCESSING(2).

    Then it would seem to me that the issue is with your sms plugin. It is not correctly handling the pending to processing state.

    Hi,

    I contact to SMS plugin via support. They said our plugin works perfect. bcoz it sends sms directly PROCESSING bcoz of WOOCOMMERCE ORDER STATUS GOES DIRECTLY TO PROCESSING WITHOUT HOLD STATUS.

    So afterthat I contact here. I think order status should go to on hold when customer place order. What do you think Mr. Rohyo?

    No it should not because on-hold means payment was not received yet. Only when it is processing or completed is when successful payment was made.
