HI

I have been using the payfast plugin for a few years now. In all that time, whenever a payment has been made, the order status has been on pending.. I have to manually change it to processing and completed. I wasn’t aware that this was meant to be an automatic process.

Hi @whitneyjoh.

If you have the Payfast debug enabled, then please check WooCommerce > Status > Logs, select the PayFast logs from the dropdown at the top right, and click “View”.

Look for the following:
```
Verify security signature
Signature = invalid
Error occurred: Security signature mismatch
```
If you see that, then please add the following line of code to your child theme’s functions.php file or via a plugin that allows custom functions to be added, such as the Code Snippets plugin.

add_filter( 'woocommerce_gateway_payfast_is_valid_ip', '__return_true' );

If you don’t see that, then please copy and paste the log back here so we can see if there are any errors that might help us in troubleshooting the issue.

I have the same issue, this code is not working and i even tried to reach out to payfast ([email protected]) very useless they closed the ticket without solving it.
