• I am needing some help in regards to the order status control, I am wanting it to go to Processing when somebody orders, then when i ship product I can manually put it to completed, my website was always like this until some updates etc and now it goes to pending payment even when it has been paid and after a time period it goes to cancelled order, if I have not updated the status of the order, any solutions to get it back to how it was before, everything on website is up to date, I am a total noob so need this in lamens terms lol!!

    Hi Morgan,

    Apologies for taking some time to get back to you.

    There are a few variables here. You have our plugin which is pretty simple and just allows you to set the order status to a default one.

    When you say you did updates. Did you add new plugins and or what plugins were updated?

    Your processor can also update the order status as well.

    What I recommend.

    1. Never update a live site. You should always update in staging first and back up the current site so you can revert if you need to.

    2. Do order tests in a sandbox mode (processor) and check if things are working appropriately.

    3. If you find issues, you should then do a process by eliminating and disabling plugins while doing orders to identify where the issue is and what is either changing or is not changing the order status the way you want it to.
