    Hi all,
I’m having a hard time trying to set the homepage slideshow of my Endurance (child) theme so that it displays the pictures i select in the proper order.

    I select images A, B, C, D, E, F and they display as F, E, D, C, B, A.

But when I try to select them in the other way (F first, down to A) they still display as F, E, D, C, B, A.

Also it’s impossible to drag and drop them in the expected order from the customize theme menu…

How can I fix this problem ?

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

I’m not sure how exactly and where you are “selecting” the images.
The theme uses this core function to get the header images: get_uploaded_header_images()

Unfortunately it doesn’t have a parameter for ordering the images in any specific way.
But it seems that WordPress orders them from new to old. So the image that was uploaded first will appear in the slideshow last.

    I hope this helps.

P.S. I hope to make some changes to this feature in a future theme update.

    Best regards,
    Dumitru B.

Hello Dumitru and thanks for replying so quickly.

I’m “selecting” the images in the “Header Image” section of the theme Appearance > Customize (URL being : my-website.com/wp-admin/customize.php)

    and, after reading your suggestion

But it seems that WordPress orders them from new to old. So the image that was uploaded first will appear in the slideshow last.

I re-uploaded my pictures in the order you mentionned, and when re-selecting them, it seems to work.

Thanks for your help, and don’t hesitate to include this feature in a furture theme update, that’s a great idea.

    Best,
    eM
